BRAND NEW STEADFAST GOLF SHAFT
In 2021, we launched Steadfast Golf with a pretty simple goal:
To offer an ultra-premium carbon fiber shaft, directly to consumers, at an incredibly low price.
Mission: Accomplished.
There was only one problem.
We grew so quickly that shaft quality suffered.
Orders came in fast and furious – we sold a remarkable 12,000 in no time flat – and in trying to keep up, we took our eye off the ball.
Reports of busted shafts started filtering in. So did bad reviews.
Naturally, sales went in the wrong direction.
What was an upstart company to do?
We could have cut our losses and shut the whole thing down. Or re-branded under a different name and hope nobody noticed.
But we knew the product was a winner. In independent testing, it had whipped some of golf’s top shafts for overall accuracy, and matched or beaten them in other key categories.
No, performance wasn’t the problem. Neither was price – our shafts cost a fraction of the competitors they crushed.
Instead, poor durability and shaft-to-shaft consistency threatened to sink Steadfast.
Which made our next move pretty obvious:
Take a break from manufacturing, find and fix what’s wrong, tighten tolerances and quality control, then hit the streets with a new and improved product.
That’s exactly what we’ve done. And we’re absolutely thrilled with the result.
We kept everything that made the original Jupiter shaft such a great performer…
Optimized head-to-shaft weight balance, which allows the club to lead the hands through impact for higher, longer carry
Low torque for superior stability (as in, accuracy) and perfect balance for superb feel
No-spine construction, which means your JUPITER 1 PLUS shaft will always be properly oriented with the clubhead and play to its true flex (even if you adjust your driver’s settings)
Premium carbon fiber that costs about 10 times more than the materials our competitors use. (A fact that is not reflected in the price you’ll pay for a JUPITER 1 PLUS shaft.)
In short: If it wasn’t broke, we didn’t fix it.
What did need refining was the manufacturing process.
After six months of diligent work, that’s been completely straightened out.
Unlike its predecessor, the new Steadfast JUPITER 1 PLUS Driver Shaft is extremely durable and defect-free.
Best of all, the quality of every single shaft is top-of-the-line.
Meaning there’s virtually zero chance you’ll get a lemon.
And a near 100% chance you’ll get a shaft that beats whatever you’re playing now.
Bonus: It will look cool, too.
Underneath that stylish surface beats the heart of a champion.
In testing by Golf Laboratories – considered the industry leader in independent testing – the original Jupiter Driver Shaft reduced miss-hit dispersion by a whopping 50% (28 yards) against several premium shafts.
In other words, if you hit it off the toe or heel, the ball finishes much closer to the target – and goes just as far – as the same miss-hit with competitors’ shafts.
Here’s the data from those tests – keep in mind, that this was the original Jupiter Driver Shaft. The JUPITER 1 PLUS has not gone through the same tests, but given the extreme attention to detail and being a lighter shaft, we have tested and noticed some interesting distance gains while maintaining the accuracy of the shaft.
The Steadfast Jupiter Shaft also generated slightly higher ball speed, with better or equal spin rates, versus competitors.
FYI: The big brands’ tested shafts weren’t “stock” models, but premium upgrades – the ones that add $200… $300… even $400 or more to the cost of a driver.
If you paid *only* $500 – $600 for your new driver, you’re definitely playing a stock shaft.
And it might just be a piece of junk.
Here’s why: During the product development process, manufacturers always keep the final retail price in mind (likely as a sticky note on the designer’s computer).
Manufacturers know which price points work best with consumers (and they definitely know how much profit they want to make)…
So they source the club’s materials and components (clubhead, shaft, grip, etc.) to “make the numbers work.”
Clubheads use up most of this “budget,” so clubmakers are often forced to skimp and save in other places – including cutting corners on the shaft.
Here’s what the respected (and unbiased) club testing website MyGolfSpy had to say about this practice:
“The reality is that [the stock shaft] is engineered to a price point and is seldom up to any given company’s aftermarket standard. It might be good… just not good enough.” – MyGolfSpy
That’s not all.
See, even if you spend good money to replace your stock shaft with an aftermarket model, some of these shafts – even the really pricey ones – have a seam-like “spine” which (hopefully) is oriented in the optimal position when the shaft is installed in your club.
The problem is, when you change lofts on your adjustable driver, you’re also changing the spine orientation and, therefore, the shaft’s flex point.
The result?
You’re giving up a LOT of precious distance and accuracy.
It’s actually pretty simple:
Yes, the premium materials we use cost 10 times more…
BUT, unlike our competitors who’ve been doing business the same way for YEARS…
Our overall costs (and prices) are lower because…
We sell our shafts directly to you. That means…
We don’t pay middle men…
We don’t pay high rent for retail store space…
Also: We don’t pay to advertise on TV…
And we don’t pay PGA Tour players or reps to say nice things about our shafts. (They do that on their own!)
"Played today with my Cobra Driver hit more consistent straight drives and at least 15 to 20 yards further. Even my misses were still in play Very happy with the results"
Charlie Sarrica
"Bought 2 driver shafts for my PXG Prototype heads. One 9*, one 10.5*. Both hit farther and straighter than UST Proforce V2 shafts. Ordered 2 3 wood shafts, can't wait to try them."
Walter Adamski
"I put the shaft in my TaylorMade driver, and now have a driver that performs up to my expectations. Very satisfied, longer, and dead straight on the target line. Load, release, and BAM with a big smile watching it split the fairway."
Steve Halstead
"I ordered this shaft and I LOVE IT! I have been through five different driver heads and settled in the Callaway Great Big Bertha Sub Zero. I had a severe slice. Started changing shafts and it was getting better. With this shaft, I now have a straight drive with a slight draw and distance is good. All of you that say it’s the swing....Wrong!"
Anthony Harrell
"I love this shaft - I've been using a Graphite Design that was almost $400 and although it is a great shaft, this one is better. I ordered one for my 3 wood and can't wait until they get shafts for irons as I anticipate they will be just as outstanding."
Steve Halstead
"I played the latter part of last season with these shafts and it truly is straighter. Try it for yourself!
David Scarlett
