Hit 16 Yards Longer with The #1 Fairway Wood of the Year!
For those golfers looking for extra distance without losing forgiveness the Tour Edge Exotics CBX fairway is a perfect match.
The Tour Edge Exotics CBX and CBX T3 are designed for increased distance and improved turf interaction but with a less busy look at address. The engineers at Tour Edge have created the CBX for those golfers that create too much spin with their fairway woods or simply need more roll-out and distance off the tee.
Recent independent Iron Byron test results prove the all-new Exotics CBX woods to be the longest, lowest spinning fairway woods in a test that included three of the best selling fairway woods on the market today. The CBX outdistanced competitors by an astonishing average of 16 yards!
Exotics has long been Tour Edge’s sandbox: innovative designs and top-of-the-line materials.. The new CBX is no different, and it’s sure to have tech-heads drooling. The variable-thickness cup face, Speed Ramp and carbon soleplate all help to scrub spin and add speed.
ADVANCED BETA TI CUP FACE is thinner and stronger to deliver the longest-hitting fairway wood on the market today
CARBON SOLE WEIGHTING helps move weight precisely to deliver more power with lower spin
VARIABLE FACE THICKNESS delivers Exotics legendary power from all over the club face
SPEED RAMP SOLE minimizes turf interaction to maintain maximum club head speed through impact
The CBX design alters the club’s CG to manipulate initial launch angle and velocity, also reducing the amount of spin the ball will have on release. The precise engineering creates a spin-killing distance machine - and the proof is in the numbers. Independent testing proves that the CBX fairway wood outdistances its most popular competitors an average of over 16 yards.
“The CBX wood is a game-changer. The distance gains from the independent test are phenomenal. Then we saw the spin numbers and started calling it the ‘spin-killer’ around the office,” said President and Founder David Glod. “Everything has lined-up for the CBX, the design, compilation of materials, and CG location to make it our next BEST fairway wood.”
MYGOLFSPY MOST WANTED FAIRWAY WOOD OF 2018
All testing was conducted inside our fully independent test facility located in Virginia. All testers used Bridgestone Tour-B RX golf balls for consistency and to reduce test variables.
All ball data was collected using the world’s most trusted launch monitor,
Foresight Sports. All head data was captured using the Foresight HMT device.
This comprehensive dataset was then run through our proprietary Most Wanted Rankings methodology that we have developed called TRUE Rank. What we have developed is the most accurate test to determine the leaders in the fairway wood category.
EXOTICS CBX T3 FAIRWAY WOOD
Due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback the Exotics CBX fairway woods have received on the professional tours and in independent testing, Tour Edge has created a more compact CBX fairway wood model featuring a deeper-face with less face progression called the CBX T3.
The Exotics CBX T3 is already a winner on the PGA Champions Tour, when a prototype version was in the bag of the 2018 Chubb Classic winner in Naples, FL. The Exotics CBX T3 has been in play by eight different players on the PGA TOUR Champions as a prototype and has also made its way into play on the PGA TOUR recently in the hands of a 4-time PGA TOUR winner.
The Exotics CBX T3 is an ideal fairway wood for usage off the tee on tight holes and for those who seek a more penetrating flight off the deck.
The Exotics CBX T3 is an ideal fairway wood for usage off the tee on tight holes and for those who seek a more penetrating flight off the deck.
- The CBX T3 features a more compact head and a shorter surface area from heel to toe
- The deeper face and higher CG of the CBX T3 makes this the perfect fairway wood off the tee and for those who seek a more penetrating flight off the deck
- Less face progression than standard CBX fairway wood
- Compact 162cc head in the CBX T3 provides a classic profile while delivering the same lower launch angle and low spin rate as the 167cc CBX fairway wood offers

Deterioration of product due to abuse, loss, theft, or usage in any manner not consistent with its original intent voids the warranty. Also, adjustments made to the club in the form of re-shafting, alteration of loft and/or lie, re-engraving of score lines or other indented surfaces, as well as cleansing of clubs with abrasives which scratch the surface in a manner inconsistent with the original finish, nullifies the warranty.
The Lifetime warranty does not apply to golf bags, or any other Tour Edge accessory including club head covers and putter covers, headwear, apparel, or the like.

MATERIALS NOT MARKETING
Larger OEMs spend copious amounts of money supporting tour staff and marketing departments. Tour Edge spends its money on materials – or so the story goes. The “Exotics by Tour Edge” line is where the company works to fulfill this promise.
The “material advantage” claimed by Tour Edge is evidenced by several differentiating technologies seen exclusively in this line. Tour Edge asserts the thinner beta-titanium face expands the sweet spot and by brazing (instead of welding) the face to a stainless steel/carbon body, the face can flex more at impact, translating to higher ball speeds. The carbon composite sole plate helps to push the CG slightly forward to decrease spin while the speed-ramp sole works to ensure clean ball-face contact.
Additionally, the tooling operations are more complex (additional coining steps) which means the final casting is precisely the correct shape, and as a result, there’s less variation in any given production run. All of these features come with higher production costs, but because Tour Edge doesn’t pay players to use the product, nor does it spend a boatload on advertising campaigns, prices are generally reasonably and in line with premium offerings from competing OEMs (TaylorMade M1, Callaway Epic).
What would happen if TaylorMade (or any other large OEM for that matter) were to use the same materials and processes as Tour Edge, but still maintain current margins?
“It’d be close to $500!”
