The construction consists of the 17-4 investment cast body and a maraging steel cup face.
The face itself is a variable face thickness design, coupled with the plasma welded maraging steel and extended lip on the cup enables the CT on these hybrid woods to achieve USGA limits for face flexure.
The metallurgy for the maraging steel face is unique in the fact VGG possesses multiple patents pertaining to the maraging steel and golf club construction.
